We are called to continue the work of caring for souls which Saint Francis de Sales began. We strive to emulate his extraordinary goodness and calm, tact and respect, unselfishness and loving willingness to lead souls to God. As Salesians we courageously accept the responsibility of spreading and defending the faith.
We live our communal apostolate when we hold office in the Institute, volunteer for a community project, facilitate a Salesian study group, support our missionary activities, and work in cooperation with the Church.
To "live Jesus" is the essence of our personal apostolate. Our devout life is practiced according to the demands of our family, professional, and social activities. True love of God motivates us to serve others, particularly the neediest among us, with humility and gentleness. Salesian spirituality teaches us how to live a holy Christian life and participation in the sacraments of the Church strengthens our will to act promptly with love.
